hypergeek.games is the home page of Hypergeek Games, which makes the daily word puzzles Lockword and Latchword. This page explains, in plain words, what this site does with your data and how the adverts work. Each game has its own privacy page: Lockword · Latchword.

No accounts, no personal details

You don't sign up for anything, and we don't ask for your name, email or anything else about you.

What this site saves on your device

Only your light or dark choice, if you tap the button, using your browser's own storage (called "local storage"). It stays on your phone or computer and is never sent to us. This site sets no cookies of its own.

Adverts

Hypergeek Games is free because it shows adverts from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show adverts, limit how often you see the same one, measure how they're doing, and, if you agree, choose adverts based on your interests.

If you're in the UK, the EU or Switzerland, you'll be asked before any of this happens, and you can change your mind at any time using the privacy and cookie settings link that appears on the page.

Other services the site uses

Google Fonts supplies the lettering. Your browser fetches it from Google, which sees your IP address.
Hostinger hosts the site. Like any web host, it keeps standard logs (such as IP addresses and the pages visited) for security and to keep the site running.
